Pink Christmas

I made this card for the Jingle Belles challenge who are dreaming of a Pink Christmas in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

I layered pink and silver snowflake paper onto cerise mirri card and attached it to the card blank.  I die cut the sentiment from cerise mirri card, trimmed the edges and attached the sentiment across the lower edge.  I then die cut Christmas from silver mirri card and inlaid the letters into the sentiment.

To make this card I used:
     5" x 7" white matt card blank
Memory Box 'Grand Merry Christmas die
     Cerise and silver mirri card
     Pink and silver snowflake paper

I am entering the following challenges:

'Tis the Season to Prance

I love these Clearly Besotted coordinating stamp and die sets as they make lovely cute cards that aren't too twee - perfect to send to a teenager.

To make this card I stamped the reindeer onto snippets of white card, coloured them with Promarkers and die cut them with the coordinating dies.  I put the card blank into my MISTI and placed the reindeer onto the card so I could see where to position my sentiment.  I removed the reindeers and stamped the sentiment.  The reindeer were then attached to the card with double sided tape.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 4" white matt card blank
Clearly Besotted 'Let's Prance' stamp and die set
Memento Tuxedo Black ink (for the reindeer) and Versafine Onyx Black (for the sentiment)
     Promarkers

I am entering the following challenges:
Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge - 'Tis the Season
Jingle Belles - Rudolph and Friends

     Pearly Sparkles Challenge - Christmas

Opulent Baubles

My final post today uses an Opulent Baubles embossing folder and dies that had been a cover gift with a magazine.

To make this card I embossed a piece of white card - the folder also die cut the bauble.  I trimmed the panel around the embossed edge so it was slightly smaller than my card blank and attached it to the front of the card.  I used the die inside the embossing folder to die cut a bright pink bauble and inlaid it.  I attached pink floral paper to a piece of white card and die cut the intricate bauble before attaching it over the bright pink backing.  I didn't like the bauble top that came with the set so I die cut a the top of a tag using gold mirri and attached the circle to the top of the bauble.  To finish I attached a small gold bow (upcycled from one of last year's Christmas cards) to the card.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 4" white matt card blank
Practical Publishing 'Opulent Baubles' embossing folder and dies
     Creative Expressions 'Pierced Tags' die
Snippets of bright pink and gold mirri card, white matt card, pink floral paper
     Upcycled small gold bow

I am entering the following challenges:
     Jingle Belles - Pink Christmas

To make this card I used:
     DL white matt card blank
Lili of the Valley Christmas Art Sheet 'Snowy Friends'
     Clearly Besotted 'Cheerful Christmas' stamp
     Versafine Majestic Blue ink

July Rudolph Day

My first post today is a Christmas tree card for this month's Rudolph Day.  I was about to publish my post when I saw that the Christmas Kickstart Challenge is Twofer 'Christmas Tree' Challenge so I got my tree stamp out again and made a second card.

On the first card the tree was paper pieced with my last tiny snippets of 'Annabelle's Christmas' paper.  This paper had been a cover gift with a magazine ages ago and I've loved using the papers - sadly I've been unable to find it for sale anywhere.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white matt card blank
     Woodware 'Tipsy Tree' stamps
Lawn Fawn 'Outside In Stitched Square Stackables' die
     Brown Promarker
Snippets of white matt and red textured card, Wild Rose Studio 'Annabelle's Christmas' paper

I am entering the following challenges:
Christmas Kickstart Challenge 'Twofer Christmas Tree'
     Pixie's Snippets Playground 'Challenge 357'
     Rudolph Day - July challenge

For my second card I heat embossed the tree onto kraft card, set it in a thin cream frame and coloured the tree with a white pencil.  To finish I applied several layers of a Wink of Stella to the tree (which sadly doesn't really show in the photograph).

To make this card I used:
A2 tent fold kraft card blank
     Woodware 'Tipsy Tree' stamp
My Favourite Things 'A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics' dies
     Versamark ink pad
     Stampendous White Opaque embossing powder
     Bruynzeel Sakura white pencil
     Wink of Stella

I am entering the following challenges:
Christmas Kickstart Challenge 'Twofer Christmas Tree'
Jingle Belles Challenge 'Photo Inspiration' (I have used the tree, rustic cardstock and sparkle as my inspiration)
Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes'

Upcycled Christmas

I made this card for the Jingle Belles 'Peace on Earth Day' challenge using two upcycled Christmas cards.  I'm also entering the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes', the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and Crafty Hazenut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

7" x 5" dark red embossed card blank
Two upcycled Christmas cards
Woodware Corner Rounder punch
White card

I trimmed the front of the Christmas card with the aperture so it was slightly smaller than the card blank and rounded the corners.  I laid the aperture over the second card and trimmed the image so it was slightly larger than the circle and attached it to the rear.  As the second card was square and not oblong I added a small piece of white card above it before attaching it to the card.

Penguin Trio

I made this card for the Jingle Belles 'Three of a Kind' challenge.  I'm also entering the Bugaboo Weekly Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

DL white matt card blank
Bugaboo 'Penguin Trio Blocks' digi stamp
Lili of the Valley 'Galaxy Stars' paper pad
Promarkers
Purple mirri and white matt card
Diamond Stickles
Wink of Stella

I trimmed the turquoise paper, layered it onto purple mirri and attached it to the card blank.  I printed the digi stamp onto white card and trimmed around the edge leaving a white border.  The penguins were coloured with Promarkers before the panel was layered onto purple mirri and attached to the centre of the card.  To finish I added Diamond Stickles to the snow and highlighted the penguins' clothing with a Wink of Stella.

Winter Berry Bouquet

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge and we want to see 'A Vintage Christmas Card'.

I'm entering Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Use Some Gold', Jingle Belles 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' challenge (my topper has sheet music on it) and the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes'.

6" x 6" cream matt card blank
Hunkydory Vintage Christmas Collection 'Winter Berry Boutique' topper
Creative Dies 'Elegant Reindeer' die
Kaisercraft 'Christmas Collections' paper
Gold mirri card

To make this quick card I trimmed the gold patterned paper, layered it onto gold mirri and attached it to the card front.  I removed the die cut topper from the backing card and attached it to the left side of the card.  I die cut the antlers and small swirl from the reindeer die and attached them to the lower corner of the card before using foam tape to attach the sentiment.

Jingle Belles Pink Christmas

I saw this Jingle Belles challenge on Di's blog.    As October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, they're asking for holiday cards with a noticeable amount of pink on them - for each card that is linked the ladies that run the challenge will donate $4 to the Susan G Komen Foundation.   I've used my favourite Christmas stamp for this quick card.

Woodware Bubble Bloom Festive Tree stamp
Woodware square corner punch
Pink moondust card
Pink card candi
Pink and clear gems
Versafine Vintage Sepia ink

I stamped the tree onto white card, punched the corners, layered it onto pink moondust card and attached it to my card front.  I then decorated it with card candi and gems.
