Merry Christmas to a Special Friend
Eileen is the host for this weeks Winter Wonderland challenge and she has chosen 'For Someone Special' or 'Happy New Year' as the themes. This doesn't have to be a Christmas project, although I've chosen to make another Christmas card. We are sponsored by A Day for Daisies who are offering a $12 voucher and Crafter's Companion who are offering a £10.00 voucher.
I have used my last snippets of red and green card so I'm heading into the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. I am also entering the Alphabet Challenge 'U for Use Something Red', A Gem of a Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and Crafty Friends 'Merry Christmas' challenge.

This was then layered onto snippets of red and green card before being attached to the centre of the card. To finish I highlighted the flowers with a Wink of Stella.

Add a Ribbon and a Bow
Iwona is the host for this week's Winter Wonderland challenge and to celebrate our 7th Birthday she would like you to add a ribbon and a bow. This can be an actual ribbon and bow, part of the image or a backing paper. This week we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons who are giving a £10.00 voucher to spend in their store, A Day for Daisies are giving a $12.00 voucher to spend on images in their online store and Crafter's Companion are giving £10.00 to spend in their store.
Card blank: 7" x 7" white silk
Stamp: A Day for Daisies 'Christmas Flower' digi stamp
Colouring: Promarkers
Card: Red mirri, white silk
Paper: Hot off the Press Carkmaker's Floral Ultimate Pack
Other: Red ribbon, red nail heads, computer generated sentiment (Harrington font)
I trimmed the paper, layered it onto red mirri and attached it to the card front. I reduced the size of the digi stamp and typed the sentiment underneath before printing. This was then trimmed and coloured with Promarkers. I attached the image to red mirri card and wrapped a small piece of red ribbon around the top corner, before attaching it to the card. I made a small bow and attached this to the centre of the ribbon. To finish I added nailheads to the corners.
