Cross Stitch Picture

I made this picture over twenty years ago but haven't displayed it in our current home, so had forgotten where it was stored. I found it a few days ago whilst looking through a box of old photographs - I'mnot sure why it was in there!

I recall the cross stitch taking ages to complete as it was stitched with two strands of thread on 18 count aida - I think my eyesight must have been a lot better when I stitched the picture.

This looks very pretty and love the mount and frame. I know what you mean about fine cross stitch. I have a piece from years ago about half complete though progress stopped a long time ago. Hubby bought it for me and it has Windsor Castle and a mass of trees and foliage in the foreground. There are about fifteeen or more colours, some very similar, and the chart is very difficult to follow. I did give it a try about a couple of years ago, but I unpicked more than I stitched so it has been put away again, and not sure if it will ever come out again..lol. x
