We've had a fabulous summer since Steve took early retirement and have spent almost three months travelling in our campervan. We arrived home last Saturday after a month long trip travelling around Norfolk and had planned on a quick turnaround before heading off to see our families. Then life decided to throw us a curved ball and Steve had a heart attack on Sunday. Thankfully the paramedics got him to hospital quickly and the amazing CCU team removed the clots and inserted a stent. He's back home now and is starting the long road to recovery. He keeps telling me the upside of us not going away is that I can do some crafting so I hope to be back in blogland within the next few weeks when our life settles down!

GULP! Can totally sympathise with yours and Steve's plight as I've already been through it once! It's such a shock and very frightening isn't it? I wish Steve a good recovery.
It's times like this that give us a harsh reminder not to put off doing the things we love and to treasure the time we have.
Sending love and lots of positivity your way Kath.
Thinking of you both and wishing Steve a full recovery. xx
OMG!! Kath what a shock for Steve and also for you. It's amazing what they can now do, to save a life. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Oh my goodness, so glad he is ok. Sounds like a marvellous trip. We could have met for a cuppa in Norfolk, my home county. Hope he continues to improve.
Glad you had a great summer but sorry to read that it ended the way it did. I do hope that your hubby has a speedy recovery and it's not long before you are hitting the road again with your travels. Until then looking forward to seeing what you are going to make.

Oh, Kath, I'm sorry to hear about this curve ball. How lucky you were to be home when it happened so Steve could get immediate care! You have a good team of guardian angels watching over you both. And how lovely that you were first able to enjoy an entire summer in your campervan! I'm sure you made wonderful memories. I send love, prayers, and best wishes for Steven's full recovery and I look forward to seeing you blogging again when you can! Take care of yourself, too! Hugs, Darnell
