Whilst trying to find something at the weekend I came across the first purse I made whilst at infant school so thought I would share it. I've sewn various stitches onto binca and also stitched in a lining - I think I may have had some help with the press studs as I can't imaging sewing them on my own!
My stitching has got a lot neater over the years!

how lovely to find something you made as a child Kath, you made a great job of your purse
What a lovely thing to find! I remember making one like that, it's probably in my Mum's loft somewhere.
What a great find Kath, I still have two needles cases made by both my daughters in the infant school I've had them for almost 50years and are used every week..

So sweet! It's lovely that you have kept it x
How lovely that you kept this Kath and shows how you have always been creative as this is so well done. x
Hi Kath, That is lovely. Great you kept it. Sue
How lovely you kept this
What a lovely find, Kath. It reminded me of the after school sewing club I ran, not that many years ago, when I taught six and seven year old children how to sew using binca. xx
This is fabulous Kath, how lovely that you still have it - I can remember making things like this at school.

Fabulous!
Hi Kath
How sweet!
I can remember doing little mats and needlecases in a similar fashion - no lining in mine though. So lovely to come across such lovely keepsakes isn't it. Had you left any pennies in it though?
Love Jules xx
