Have a hoot on your birthday

This is the other birthday card I made today - I can't say who it's for as I don't want to spoil the suprise for her birthday!   This card used the Woodware Patch an Owl stamp set which was a magazine freebie last month.   All the papers and card have come from my snippets drawer, so I'm in Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground.

I attached a strip of striped paper and turquose card onto the card blank and stamped the sentiment directly onto the card.   The owl image was stamped onto thin card and cut out, the image was then stamped onto various co-ordinating paper snippets which were cut out and attached to the owl image.  I used foam tape to attach the wings.  The branch was stamped onto brown card - the branch and owl were then attached to the card.  To finish I added 'wobbly eyes' to the owl.

  1. What a brilliant CAS card. A cutie of an owl with fab eyes.

  2. So sweet, love the card.

  3. What a fun, cute card for a special friend! It would work well for a guy or a gal! That's always a plus in my book.

  4. Super card Kath - even though it isn't pink ;)

And what a terrific stamp set - I got it too and have yet to play. Certainly well worth buying that magazine, and just perfect for paper piecing.

    Hugs, Di xx

  5. Just gorgeous this little owl! Love the papers you've used and those eyes ....ah, terrific!

    Have a nice day...
