Retirement

A friend is retiring soon and I made this card for her following the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and the CAS-ual Fridays colour challenge which is to use 'white, tan and one bright colour'.   The card is from my snippets drawer so I'm also popping across to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Stamp: Woodware 'Retirement'
Die: Crafty Ann 'Butterfly 7'
Punch: Woodware corner rounder
Ink: Versafine Haberno
Snippets: Tan and orange card

I cut four 4.5cm squares from tan card and used the corner rounder on opposite corners of each square.  These were attached to the card front and the sentiment was stamped directly onto the card.  I die-cut a butterfly, curled the wings and attached it to the centre of the squares.

Love this Kath! Classy and the partly rounded squares make a perfect background to the butterfly.
