May Rudolph Day

Another Rudolph Day and another of my 4" x 4" card - this month I've made a super quick card using an upcycled Christmas card.  I'm also entering the ABC Christmas Challenge 'K for Keep it Simple', the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Always Anything Christmas Goes' and The Merry Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes + Christmas'.

Card blank: 4" x 4" gold matt mirri
Image: Upcycled Christmas card
Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Lacy Squares'
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Card: Black card

To make this super quick card I die cut and embossed the Lacy Square ensuring the sentiment was in the centre.  This was layered onto a couple of small squares of black card to give some dimension before being attached to the centre of the card.

Happy Birthday James

I made this card for Steve's nephew's birthday using my Oliver digi stamp (I think all the boys have now had cards with this image so I'll need to buy another one soon!).  I'm entering the Allsorts 'Happy Birthday' challenge, the Alphabet Challenge 'D for Dots' and A Gem of a Challenge 'It's a Man's World'.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Stamp: Lili of the Valley 'Oliver Texting' digi
Colouring: Promarkers
Card: White silk
Paper: Hot off the Press 'Ultimate Floral Pack'
Other: Computer generated sentiment 'Tempus Sans ITC' font

I trimmed the striped paper to a square and and attached it to the card.  I then layered a co-ordinating piece of spot paper to the left side.  I resized the digi and added the sentiment before printing it onto white card, trimming it to a square and colouring it with Promarkers.  I attached two slightly smaller squares of white card behind the image to give a little dimension and attached it to the centre.

Fairy on Present

I made this card for the Christmas with the Cuties 'Let it Snow' challenge.  I'm also entering the Crafty Calendar Challenge 'Things with Wings' and the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Always Anything Christmas Goes'.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white matt
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Fairy on Present' Mini Masterpieces
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Classic Squares Large' and 'Lacy Squares'
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Card: Dark blue pearlescent
Paper: Lili of the Valley 'Frosty Christmas'
Other: Diamond Stickles, Wink of Stella

I cut a piece of blue snowflake paper, layered it onto dark blue card and attached it to the front of the card.  The pre-coloured image was already die cut, but I trimmed it slightly to remove the 'pips' and then put it into the largest square die and embossed the edge.  I die cut and embossed a Lacy Square from dark blue card.  The fairy image was layered onto the Lacy Square and attached to the centre of the card.  To finish I highlighted the fairy and presents with a Wink of Stella and added Diamond Stickles to the snowflakes.

Joy

I made this card for the ABC Christmas Challenge 'J for Joy & K for Keep it Simple', the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown 'Turquoise and Gold' colour challenge and Crafty Cardmakers 'No Patterned Paper' challenges.   The card was from my snippets drawer so I'm also heading into the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 6" x 4" white silk
Die: Creative Expressions 'Festive Collection - Joy'
Embossing: Crafts-Too 'Twinkle'
Snippets: Turquoise and gold pearlescent card, white silk card

I embossed a piece of white card with the Twinkle folder, trimmed it, layered it onto turquoise card and attached it to the centre of the card blank.  I die cut 'JOY' from turquoise card and the swirly 'JOY' from gold card.  I attached the turquoise letters behind the gold outline and attached the completed die cut to the centre of the card using Pinflair glue.

Winter Wonderland

I made this quick, cute card using another image from the Lili of the Valley 'Winter Wonderland' Art Pad.  I'm entering the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Always Anything Christmas Goes' and the ABC Christmas Challenge 'K for Keep it Simple'.

Card blank: 5.5" x 4.25" white tent fold
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Winter Wonderland' Art Pad
Paper: SugarPea Designs 'Happy Holidays'
Other: Diamond Stickles, Wink of Stella

I cut the centre out of the brown frame and attached the precoloured Art Pad image behind it, trimming the Art Pad image slightly along the top and one side.  This was then attached to the card.  I used a Wink of Stella to highlight the girl and squirrels and Diamond Stickles for the snowflakes.

It's time for another challenge at Winter Wonderland and the theme is 'Christmas in the Snow'.  We are sponsored by LeAnn's World 101 who are offering the winner two digi stamps of their choice.  I'm entering the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and The Merry Christmas Challenge 'Always Anything Goes + Christmas'.

I covered the front of the card with green paper, leaving a white border around the edge.  I resized the digi and printed it onto white card.  The image was trimmed and coloured with Promarkers before being layered onto red paper and attached to the centre of the card.  To finish I highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella and added Diamond Stickles to the snow.

Happy Birthday Dad

I made this card for my father-in-law's birthday using the aptly named papers 'Father Knows Best'!  I'm entering the Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes' challenge. The card and papers are from my snippets drawer so I'm also heading over to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Dies: My Favourite Things 'Fishtail Flags', Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Hexagons'
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Other: Star button, black/white baker's twine, computer generated sentiment 'Harrington' font
Snippets: Black matt card, white silk card, Lili of the Valley 'Father Knows Best' paper

I die cut and embossed hexagons from snippets of paper and attached them to a piece of paper using Collall All Purpose glue to give a little 'wriggle room'.  This panel was trimmed and layered onto black card before being attached to the card blank.  I printed the sentiment onto white card and die cut a fishtail flag.  I drew around the die onto a piece of black card to make a matt layer and then cut the shape out.  The white flag was layered onto the black matt and attached to the left side of the card.  To finish I tied baker's twine through the button and attached it to the left of the sentiment with Pinflair glue.

I made this card for Steve's niece's birthday.  I'm entering the Butterfly Challenge 'Spin the Wheel with the letter D' (I have used D for Dirt [hair], Denim Blue [clothes, butterfly, card and sentiment], Dark Salmon [roses, clothes and butterfly], Digi Image, Die Cut [banner], Dimension [matting and layering] and a Butterfly).  I'm also entering Ally's Angels 'Butterflies', Crafty Cardmakers 'Birthdays' and Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes' challenges.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Stamp: Bugaboo 'Butterfly Rose Girlz' digi stamp
Die: My Favourite Things 'Fishtail Flags'
Colouring: Promarkers
Card; Denim blue matt, white silk
Paper: Green mottled
Other: Computer generated sentiment 'Harrington' font, Wink of Stella

I trimmed the green paper, layered it onto blue card and attached it to the card blank.  I resized the digi stamp and printed it onto white card.  I trimmed the image and coloured it with Promarkers before layering it onto blue card and attaching it to the left side of the card. I printed the sentiment onto white card and die cut it using the smallest fishtail flag.  I placed the same die onto blue card and drew around the outside edge to make the matt for the sentiment.  After layering the sentiment onto the blue card I attached it to the lower edge of the card with Pinflair glue to give extra dimension.  To finish I highlighted the butterfly, roses, hair and clothes with a Wink of Stella.
