Penguin Trio Blocks

It's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland and our theme is 'Colour It' which means you have to colour you own image.  We don't have a sponsor for this challenge but Marie has kindly donated a prize for the winner.

I've used a cute Bugaboo penguin digi for my card and am entering the Alphabet Challenge 'P is for Penguins', Christmas With the Cuties' Wrap up Warm' challenge, Fab 'n' Funky 'Christmas' challenge and Cardz 4 Gals 'Let's Go Digital' challenge.  The card and snowflake paper were from my snippets drawer so I'm heading into the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: White silk DL
Stamp: Bugaboo 'Penguin Trio Blocks' digi
Colouring: Promarkers, Sakura coloured pencils
Card: White silk
Other: Diamond Stickles, Wink of Stella
Snippets: Purple pearlescent card, blue and purple snowflake paper

I trimmed the snowflake paper, layered it onto purple card and attached it to the card blank.  I printed the digi onto white card and trimmed it leaving a border around the blocks.  I coloured the penguins with blue and purple Promarkers and coloured the sky with a pale blue coloured pencil.  The stamped panel was layered onto purple card before being attached to the centre.  To finish I highlighted the hats and snowflakes with a Wink of Stella and added Diamond Stickles to the snow.

October Rudolph Day

It's time for the October Rudolph Day and another of my 4" x 4" cards using freebies.  I'm also entering the Fab 'n' Funky 'Christmas' challenge, the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes', the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and The Merry Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas'.

Card blank: 4" x 4" gold matt
Image: Apple Blossom 'Ornament' (magazine freebie)
Die: Apple Blossom 'Ornament' (magazine freebie)
Embossing: Apple Blossom 'Holly' (magazine freebie)
Card: White and gold matt
Other: Gold ribbon

I embossed the white card, trimmed around the edge of the frame and attached it to the card blank.  I attached the bauble onto a piece of card to make it more rigid and then die cut it using the matching die.  This was attached to the centre of the card with foam tape. I die cut the bauble top from gold card and attached it to the card.  I made a small bow from gold ribbon and used Pinflair glue to fasten it to the top of the bauble.

Santa

It's time for another challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year Round and we want to see Santa, an Elf or Fairy.  I've chosen Santa and have used a cute Lili of the Valley Art Pad image for my card.

I'm entering Sparkles Christmas Challenge 'Christmas is for Kids', Christmas with the Cuties 'For a Child', the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Something beginning with S' (I have obviously chosen Santa).

Card blank: 6" x 6" white matt
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Winter Wonderland' Art Pad
Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Labels One' and 'Decorative Labels One;
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Card: Red embossed
Paper: Making Cards 'Contemporary Christmas' (magazine freebie)
Other: Wink of Stella

I trimmed the paper, layered it onto dark red card and attached it to the card front.  The image was precoloured, so I die cut and embossed it before layering it onto a die cut and embossed decorative label.  I then die cut three smaller labels and attached these to the back of the image (to give some dimension) before attaching it to the card front.  To finish I highlighted Santa, the snow and holly with a Wink of Stella.
