Glamour Lady

I made this card for a friend's birthday using a Kanban topper from my 'oddments' drawer, plus snippets of coordinating card.

To make this card I used:
     DL white matt card blank
     Kanban 'Glamour Ladies' topper
Snippets of gold mirri and purple/gold foiled card

I trimmed the snippet of purple foiled card, layered it onto a snippet of gold mirri and attached it to the card blank.  The topper had got a gold edge, but I trimmed around the edge and layered it onto a snippet of gold mirri so it would match the backing layer.  The topper was then attached to the centre of the card.

I am entering the following challenges:
Allsorts - One for the Girls
Love to Craft - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap - Anything Goes

     Snippets Playground - Challenge 453

Monochrome Reindeer

Another Christmas card using lots more snippets - although my snippets box doesn't seem to be getting any smaller!

I trimmed a piece of white card so it was slightly smaller than the card blank, rounded the corners and die cut a stitched circle from the centre.  I attached the wood effect card behind the aperture and attached the panel to the card.  I die cut three reindeers from dark brown pearlescent card and the swirl and bow from a lighter brown card.  I layered the three bodies, cutting the back leg of the bottom layer so it would lie flat across the card, before attaching it.  I layered the antlers and attached them.  The light brown swirl was inlaid into the reindeer body and the bow attached to his neck.  To finish I added three small brown snowflakes around the reindeer.

To make this card I used:
     5" x 5" white matt card blank
Creative Dies 'Elegant Reindeer' and My Favorite Things 'Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics' dies
Kanban 'Cosy Christmas' wood effect card
Snippets of dark brown and light brown pearlescent card

I am entering the following challenges:
     Allsorts - Monochromatic
52 Christmas Card Throwdown - Wood Background
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes

To a Special Mum

This is the Christmas card I made for my mum using a lovely Kanban topper- I can post the card now as she doesn't read my blog!

I didn't have a piece of gold mirri large enough for the card front, so I trimmed two smaller pieces and attached them across the front of the card.  I trimmed a piece of floral paper which matched the colours and flowers of the topper and layered it onto the mirri.  I trimmed a gold patterned strip from the edge of the topper sheet and attached it across the card to hide the join in the mirri.  The precoloured topper was then attached to the centre of the card with a foam sheet.

To make this card I used:
     7" x 5" ivory matt card blank
     Kanban 'Decadent Christmas' topper
Snippets of gold mirri and Making Cards 'Christmas 2019 Craft Paper Collection' paper

I am entering the following challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenge - X for Xtra Special (the card for my mum)
Christmas Crafts All Year Round - Family and Friends
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes
Merry Little Christmas Challenge - Anything Christmas Goes

Gold Christmas

This month's Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge is 'Shabby Chic' or 'Monochomatic' and we are sponsored by Elisabeth Bell who are offering two digi stamps for the winner.

I decided to choose the 'Monochromatic' option and used Kanban toppers for this quick and simple card.  I'm entering the Christmas Card Challenges 'Anything Goes', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Use a Sentiment' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra where 'Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas'.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Images: Kanban 'Cosy Christmas'
Card: Gold mirri

To make this super quick card, I layered the gold candle image onto gold mirri and attached it to the card front.  I trimmed the sentiment image, layered it onto gold mirri and attached it to the centre of the card ensuring the picture matched.  Why are quick and simple cards often my favourites?

Santa with Wine

Whilst having having a tidy up, I found loads of bits'n'bobs which I must use up before I buy anything else.  This means I'll have plenty of cards to share in Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground, including this card which I've made for this week's Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge which is 'Santa and/or his helpers'.  I'm also entering the card into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra - 'Anything goes as long as it's Christmas.

Kanban image
Woodware 'Bubble Wreath' sentiment stamp
Paper and card from snippets drawer
Versafine Crimson Red ink

I layered a strip of burgundy paper onto gold mirri and attached it to the left of the card.  The Kanban image was attached to gold mirri and attached to the centre of the card with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Woodware's 'Bubble Wreath' set and was stamped with Crimson Red Versafine.  To finish, I attached three dark red nailheads to the top of the card.

Santa with wine and mince pie

I'm going to enter this card into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'For a Man or a Boy' and also for the Winter Wonderland 'One for the Boys' challenge which must show an image of a boy or man.

I used a Crafts Too 'Swirl Frames' folder to emboss white pearlescent card and trimmed it to size.  I cut the oblong from the middle of the frame and attached the Kanban image to the rear of the embossed card.   This was then attached to dark red mirri card and a white pearlescent card blank.  To finish, I attached peel-of silver stars to the frame.

Three Wise Men

I made a 'Nativity' card for this week's Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - the challenge can show any facet of the nativity.  I decided to use a Three Wise Men topper from Kanban.

I layered gold mirri and Kanban Snow Red background card onto a pearlescent card blank.  I attached a strip of star paper onto gold mirri and attached it to the card.   The topper was layered onto gold mirri and then attached to the card front with foam tape to add dimension.

Fishing You a Happy Birthday

I made this card for a card swap with the theme 'Card for a Child or Teenager'.  As I'm still trying to reduce my 'things I'll use one-day' drawer, I decided to use this Kanban decoupage picture.

I had still got some of the backing card to match the decoupage, so I layered that onto a white card blank.  I then used silicone glue to assemble the decoupage layers.  To finish I attached a sentiment to the top of the card.
