Cross Stitch Thank You

My neighbour has gifted me another large bag of cross stitch items, so I made this card for her.  The card uses both a cross stitch kit and a card blank that she has given me.

To make this card I used:
Craft Creations 6" x 4" aperture card blank
     Permin 03-6338 cross stitch kit
     Hobbycraft 'General Greetings' stamp
     Versamark ink
Wow Metallic Gold Sparkle embossing powder

I used Versamark ink to stamp 'Thank You' below the aperture and embossed it with gold sparkle embossing powder.  After finishing the stitching I trimmed the fabric and mounted it behind the aperture and secured the card behind the stitching.

Robin on a Branch

This lovely robin was one of the small kits I bought before Christmas - although it's a Hobbycraft kit the design is by Mouseloft.

To make this card I used:
     C7 red tri-fold card
     Hobbycraft 'Robin' cross stitch kit

After stitching the design, I trimmed the aida before attaching it behind the aperture in the card.  The bottom panel was then attached inside the card.

Cross Stitch Owl

I bought a few pre-loved cross stitch kits before Christmas and this cute owl was amongst them.  Although it's a Hobbycraft kit, the design is by Mouseloft .

To make this card I used:
     4" x 4" cream hammer card blank
     Hobbycraft 'Owl' cross stitch kit
My Favorite Things 'Inside & Out Stitched Square STAX Die-namics dies
     Snippet of cream hammer card

After finishing the stitching I attached it to the rear of a frame that had been die cut from cream hammer card and then attached it to the front of the card blank.

January Rudolph Day

It's time for the first Rudolph Day of 2023!  For the past few years I've enjoyed working to a theme for my Rudolph Day cards.  In 2017 I used images from a Lili of the Valley Art Pad, in 2018 my cards were 4" x 4", in 2019 all cards had a Christmas tree on them, in 2020 I used wet and/or dry embossing on my cards, in 2021 I used something that had been upcycled and last year all my cards used something that had been a cover gift with a magazine.  This year my theme will be 'Cross Stitch' and all cards will have a cross stitch design.

To make this card I used:
     4" x 4" white hammer card blank
Hobbycraft 'Snowman' mini cross stitch kit
My Favorite Things 'Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics' die
     Snippet of white hammer cad

After stitching the snowman I mounted the febric behind a circle aperture that had been die cut with a stitched die.  I attached a piece of white card to the inside to cover the back of the stitching.

Cross Stitch Angel

I was given this cute Angel chart and left over threads in a Giveaway group - I just needed to add the fabric to make this cute card.  The kit was originally from Hobbycraft although the design is by Mouseloft.

After finishing the stitching I mounted the angel behind a frame made from two stitched square dies and attached it to the card front.

Two Robins

This is another design I stitched on our last campervan adventure. I used a Hobbycraft 'Two Robins' cross stitch kit I received as a RAK swap   After completing the stitching I mounted the fabric behind a frame I made from white hammer using two stitched square dies.  The framed stitching was then attached to a white hammer card blank.
