All the Very Best

The current Butterfly Challenge is to use 'F for Flowers' and I made this card for a friend who is leaving work soon and followed the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Stamp: Woodware 'Salutations'
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals Small & Classic Scalloped Ovals Small and Memory Box 'Pippi Butterfly'
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx
Card: Black matt
Paper: Hot off the Press 'Vintage Roses'
Other: Wink of Stella

I trimmed a strip of floral paper, layered it onto black card and attached it to the card blank.  The sentiment was stamped onto an oval, embossed die-cut.  This was then attached to a black scalloped oval and attached to the card.  I glued a small piece of floral paper onto black card and die-cut the butterfly before attaching it onto the sentiment.  To finish, I added a Wink of Stella to the butterfly and sentiment.

Fabulous card! The patterned paper is really lovely and the white strip at the top and bottom sets it off beautifully. xx

I love the beautiful paper you used here, a great idea to make it the focal point of your card.

Perfect. Another entry that has followed a sketch. I do like that design paper and I love how you thought of sticking the design paper to a plain backing piece and then die cut out the filigree butterfly. (A simple idea but stunning result). Thankyou for fluttering by #33. hugs Mrs A.
