Let your dreams take flight

I made this is a quick card for the current Colour Me 'Striking' challenge which is to use Blue, Red and Neutral.   As the card was from my snippets drawer, I'm also paying my first visit of the week to Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 6" x 4" white silk
Stamp: Hot off the Press 'Feathers' (magazine freebie)
Die: Hot off the Press Feathers (magazine freebie)
Ink: Versafine Magestic Blue
Other: Wink of Stella
Snippets: Blue, red and white card

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white card.  This was layered onto red card and attached to the card front.   I die cut two feathers - one was attached directly onto the card and the other was attached with foam tape to give some dimension.  I used Wink of Stella on the sentiment and along the spine of the feathers.

Kath, that's lovely. I love the sentiment. The feathers would be great for all sorts of occasions.

Hope you are having a nice weekend. Sue

I can't recall seeing a piccie of your smiling face on here before - lovely photo!

Beautiful! Love the simplicity of the design, which allowed those wonderful feathers to shine. It looks like one of the feathers was stitched down, but wasn't sure if it was faux stitching or 'real' - whatever - it is lovely. Agree with Di, perfect sentiment for this card. TFS & Hugs.
