Celebrate in Style

I always struggle to make cards for men, but thought this week's sketch at CAS Colours and Sketches would be perfect.   It's also a good sketch to use a few of the strips of paper in my snippets drawer, so I'm also paying my first visit to Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white hammer
Stamp: Woodware 'Bubble Bloom Clarissa'
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Ink: Versafine Black Onyx
Snippets: White hammered card and papers

I trimmed three strips of paper and, following the sketch, attached them to the card .  The sentiment was stamped onto white card, die cut and embossed around the edge.  I drew around the same die onto black card to cut a mat to fit behind the sentiment, this was then attached to the card with foam pads.

  4. Brilliant Kath! Perfect for a chap, and I see that you also draw round the outside of dies then hand cut for a lightly bigger mat. Mind you, you chose a really tricky-woo die to cut round - and achieved it perfectly!
