Christmas Stocking

It's time for a new challenge at Winter Wonderland and we want to you to 'Add Some Sparkle or Bling'. We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs who are offering three digi images of the winner's choice.

This is a scheduled post as we're having our first weekend away in our new campervan (see my other blog Where's Cali?).  Hopefully I can get wifi on site so will enter Sparkles Christmas Challenge 'Candy Cane' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra.


Card blank: 6" x 6" white silk
Stamp: Crafty Sentiments Designs 'Christmas Stockings' digi
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Classic Ovals Large' and 'Lacey Ovals'
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Colouring: Promarkers, Gold Gel Pen
Card: Gold mirri, white silk
Paper: Wild Rose Studio 'Bella'
Other: Star Dust Stickles, Wink of Stella, Woodware 'Joy' gold peel-off, star peel-offs

I trimmed the lilac paper, layered it onto gold mirri and attached it to the card front.  I resized the digi stamp, printed it onto white card and coloured it with Promarkers, adding gold gel pen to the tassle. The image was die cut and embossed, layered onto a gold die cut and embossed lacey oval, before being attached to the left side of the card.  I added Star Dust Stickles to the stocking cuff and highlighted the stocking and presents with a Wink of Stella.  To finish I added gold stars to the top corner and a sentiment and stars to the lower corner.

April Rudolph Day

It's time for the fourth Rudolph Day challenge of the year and I'm using another LOTV 'Festive Foliage' Art Pad image to make this quick card.

I'm also entering Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra and Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.

I trimmed the red checked paper and covered the whole of the card front.  Two strips of green checked paper were attached across the card, matching the pattern.  I trimmed the pre-coloured image to make it slightly narrower and then attached it across the centre.  To finish I highlighted the baubles and leaves with a Wink of Stella.

Snowy Town

I trimmed the red paper, layered it onto gold card and attached it to the card blank.  The pre-coloured image was trimmed slightly, layered onto gold card and attached to the centre.  To finish, I die cut six small stars and attached them to the top and bottom corners.

Cute Garden Cottage

I made this quick card for a friend's birthday using a pre-coloured LOTV Art Pad image, which I think is from the 'Cute Garden Cottage'.  If anyone knows different, please let me know!

I covered the front of the card blank with floral paper and added a piece of striped paper across the card.  I trimmed the top and bottom of the pre-coloured image and attached it across the centre of the striped paper.  To finish I highlighted the birds, flowers and cupcake case with a Wink of Stella.

Magical Fairy

I made this card for the Lili of the Valley 'Feature a Female' challenge.  I'm also entering Crafty Cardmakers 'Things with Wings' challenge and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes'.  I'm also on a mission to try and use my mountain of snippets, so I'm heading to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

I trimmed the paper, layered it onto green card and attached it to the card front.  The precoloured image was die cut and embossed before being layered onto a die cut and embossed decorative labels. This image was then attached to the centre of the card.  To finish I highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella and added Star Dust Stickles to the wings for extra sparkle.

Oliver Birthday

I'm struggling to find crafting time at the moment, but made this card for a young boy's birthday.  I'm entering Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes' challenge, Crafty Friends Challenge 'B is for ...' (I have chosen birthday, boy and blue) and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

I layered the paper onto blue card and attached it to the card front.  I die cut Happy Birthday from blue and white card.  The blue die cut was attached to the lower edge of the card and the white letters were inlaid.  The precoloured image was already die cut and was attached with foam tape.  To finish I die cut three small stars from blue card and attached them to the upper corner.

Spring Bunny

I trimmed the paper, layered it onto yellow card and attached it to the card front.  The pre-coloured image was die cut and embossed.  This was layered onto a yellow die cut and embossed decorative label before being attached to the centre of the card.  I punched four daises and attached them to the corners of the card.  To finish I added a small white candy bonbon to the centre of each flower.

I trimmed the poinsettia paper, layered ito onto green mirri card and attached it to the card front.  I resized the digi and printed it onto white card, before colouring it with Promarkers.  I trimmed the image, layered it onto green mirri and attached it to the centre of the card.

I trimmed the paper, layered it onto gold card and attached it to the card.  I resized the digi and printed it onto white card.  This was die cut and embossed before being coloured to match the paper. I layered the image onto a gold scalloped and embossed circle and attached it to the centre of the card. To finish I added a Wink of Stella over the gold Promarker so it matched the pearlescent card.

Jenny Bear Birthday

I trimmed the pink check paper, layered it onto brown card and attached it to the card blank.  I then attached a strip of darker pink paper across the card.  I die cut and embossed the image and die cut the number from the centre of the balloon.  The image was attached to a die cut and embossed lacy square before being attached to the centre of the card.  I die cut the number from brown card and inlaid it int the topper.  To finish, I highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella.

Red and Green Christmas

A big thank you to Lisa for inviting me to be a Guest Designer for Christmas with the Cuties  The theme of this challenge is 'Red and Green' and I've used a cute Lili of the Valley precoloured image for my card and the remainder of the green check paper that I used for my Rudolph Day card.

I trimmed the green checked paper, layered it onto red card and attached it to the card.  The precoloured image was layered onto green paper and a red Lacy Square die cut, before being attached to the centre of the card.  I die cut a snowflake from white glitter card and attached it to the top of the topper, adding a red nailhead to the centre. To finish I added Fun Flock to the dog's hat and highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella.

March Rudolph Day

It's hard to believe it's the third Rudolph Day of the year!  I've used another image from the LOTV 'Festive Foliage' Art Pad for my card and am entering Crafty Friends 'B is for ...' challenge (I've used chosen baubles, branch and blue),  Crafty Hazelnuts's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

I trimmed blue and green check paper, layered them onto red card and attached it to the card front.  I trimmed the precoloured image slightly, layered it onto red card and attached it to the left side.  I die cut the sentiment three times from red card and once from white card.  To ensure the sentiment lay flat across the card front I cut two red sentiments in half before layering the them.  The white sentiment was attached to the top creating a shadow effect, before being attached to the card.  To finish I highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella.
