Twinkle, Twinkle Christmas Star

We visited our families over Easter and my mother and sister gave me a bag with all their Christmas and Birthday cards from last year - 'just in case I can make anything with them'.  There's going to be a lot of upcycling over the next few months - especially with the Christmas cards.  I made the first card for this week's Winter Wonderland challenge which is 'Twinkle, Twinkle Christmas Star'.

Upcycled Christmas Card
Gold mirri card
Crafts Too 'Twinkle' embossing folder
Promarker
Ribbon

I trimmed around the angel image and layered it onto a piece of gold mirri card.  I used the 'Twinkle' embossing folder to emboss one side of a purple card blank and then attached the image to the centre using foam tape.   To finish, I used a purple Promarker to colour a scrap of white ribbon and made a bow to attach to the card front.

LOVE this card Kath - and such a clever idea to emboss the one side of a square card as you did. It looks as if the stars are just sprinkled round the lovely image. Need to try that technique. And what patience to colour ribbon like that - another one to try here as well.

Love the ideas you come up with!
