Sister

I found some lovely Hunkydory 'Florabunda' toppers and card in a charity shop bundle - I've made this card for my sister's birthday.

To make this card I used:
     7" x 7" white matt card blank
     Hunkydory 'Florabunda' backing card and toppers
     Creative Expressions 'From the Heart - Female Relations' and 'Finishing Touches - Dainty Butterflies' dies
     Snippet of gold mirri card

I trimmed the kraft card so it was slightly smaller than the card blank and attached it to the centre.  To raise the topper from the card I attached it with a foam pad, setting it to the left side of the card.  I die cut 'Sister' from both gold mirri and another Florabunda topper which was the same colouring as the main topper.  I layered the floral topper onto the gold mirri, offsetting it slightly to give a gold shadow and then attached it to the top of the card.  I die cut two small butterflies from another small Florabunda topper and attached them to the lower corner of the card.

Happy Birthday To You

I made this card with my last piece Sarn's lovely autumnal gelli print she sent me with a Playground prize last year.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white matt card blank
     Lawn Fawn 'Giant Happy Birthday to You' die
     Sarn's autumnal gelli print paper
     Snippets of thin white card and dark brown card

I attached the snippet of gelli print paper to white card to make it a little thicker and easier to die cut before trimming it to a square.  I die cut the sentiment from the centre and set the pieces aside.  The panel was layered onto a slightly larger square of dark brown card and attached to the centre of the card blank.  I die cut the sentiment three times from snippets of dark brown card.  I inlaid the first die cut and the small pieces of the gelli print into the front of the panel.  I then layered the remaining two brown sentiments with the gelli print sentiment on top.

Winter Sparkles

This quick card uses a lovely Hunkydory Deco-Large set.  The topper was quite large and as I only wanted to make a 6" x 6" card, I trimmed the decoupage layers and laid them over the plain side of the backing card.  

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white matt card blank
     Hunkydory 'Winter Sparkles Deco-Large' card and topper
     Creative Expressions 'Festive Collection - Season's Greetings' die
     Snippets of silver mirri

I trimmed the backing card so it was slightly smaller than the card blank, layered it onto silver mirri and attached it to the front of the card blank.  I trimmed the top of the decoupage layers to remove the rounded corner and layered them onto the backing card.  To finish I die cut the sentiment from a snippet of silver mirri and attached it to the lower corner of the card.
