Warmest Wishes

I made this quick and simple card for the October Rudolph Day challenge.  I'm also entering this card into the Merry Monday 'Birds' challenge, Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge 'Embossing, 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown 'Embossng' challenge, Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Use a Sentiment', and Christmas Card Challenges 'Anything Goes'.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Image: Upcycled Chistmas card
Embossing: Creative Expressions 'Sparkle Squares'
Card: Red mirri and white silk

I embossed the white silk card, trimmed it slightly before layering it onto red mirri and attaching it to the card front.  The lovely robin image was already glittered, so I trimmed it into a square, layered it onto red mirri and attached it to the card front.  The sentiment was also from the same card, this was trimmed, layered onto red mirri and attached to the card front with Pinflair glue.

Thinking of You

I made this card for the current Less is More 'Acetate or Vellum' challenge.  I'm also entering the Alphabet Challenge 'Q for Quick and Simple' and Crafting with Dragonflies 'Let's Go Floral' challenges.  The vellum is from my snippets drawer, so I'm also heading to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 6" x 6" white hammer
Other: Magenta Style '3D flower' and Stampendous 'Friendly Greetings' peel-offs, Sakura Gelly Roll 'Clear Star' pen
Snippets: White vellum

I attached the flower peel-offs to white vellum and fussy cut them.  I attached the main image to the card front with a dot of tacky glue under the flower centres and the bottom of the stem.  I then shaped the other layers and attached them in the same way.  As the glue could be seen under the top flower, I coloured the flower centres with the 'Clear Star' pen.  To finish I added the sentiment to the lower edge of the card.

Orange Christmas Tree

This month's Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge is 'Use Some Orange' and we are sponsored by Freshly Brewed Designs.  For my card I've made an inlaid die-cut Christmas tree (one of my favourite techniques at the moment) but I have found it hard to photograph the mirri card.

I'm entering Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Winter/Christmas', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra where 'Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas'.

Card blank: 6" x 4" white silk
Die: Memory Box 'Sparkling Tile Tree'
Snippets: Orange mirri and white silk card

I die-cut the tree from the white card and backed it with double sided tape.  I then die-cut the tree from several tiny snippets of orange mirri card and inserted these into the white tree.  This panel was then trimmed, layered onto a slightly larger piece of orange mirri and attached to the card front.
