February Rudolph Day

A big 'Thank You' to ScrappyMo for inviting me to be her Guest Designer for the February Rudolph Day challenge.  I'm using another precoloured image from the Lili of the Valley 'Festive Foliage' Art Pad. There are ten different images in the Art Pad, I used one for the January challenge and plan to use the other images for the next eight challenges, with something different in November!

I'm entering this card for the Merry Monday 'Stockings' challenge, A Gem of a Challenge 'Your Favourite Colour Combo' challenge (I love traditional red and green for Christmas cards), Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra.

I trimmed the holly paper, layered it onto gold mirri and attached it to the card front. I trimmed the pre-coloured image, punched the corners, layered it onto gold mirri and attached it to the centre of the card.  I added the 'Joy' and stars peel-offs and highlighted the stockings with a Wink of Stella.

With Love

This is the last of my daily posts for this week as I'm back at work tomorrow!  I made this quick card with a bargain stamp I bought at the Craft4Crafters show on Thursday.  It's an Anita's heart stamp, but I don't know what it's called - if anyone knows the name of the stamp, please let me know.

I trimmed a square of white card before stamping and embossing the heart stamp and sentiment. This square was layered onto red card and attached to the card blank.

Frosty the Snowman

I trimmed the dark blue snowflake paper, layered it onto silver mirri and attached it to the card front.  I cut a strip of light blue snowflake paper, layered it onto silver mirri and attached it across the card lining up the snowflakes so the pattern matched. The pre-coloured image was trimmed slightly, layered onto silver mirri and attached to the centre with foam tape.  I die cut a snowflake and attached it to the top corner, adding a shimmering dot to the centre.  To finish I highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella and the snow with Diamond Stickles.

Winter Wonderland - Anything Goes Tribute Challenge for Eileen

Happy Birthday

I made this card for a friend who's a keen cyclist and am entering The Male Room 'Wheels' challenge, Seize the Birthday 'Inlaid die-cutting' challenge, Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes', Crafty Friends 'Anything Goes' challenge and Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.

I die cut the road bike from black card and set it aside. I trimmed the paper to a square and die cut the bike from the lower edge.  The paper was then layered onto black card and I inlaid the bike and paper pieces.  To ensure the inlaid pieces were flat and glued down well, I placed a piece of plain card over the paper and ran it through my Cuttlebug.  The panel was then attached to the card front. To finish I stamped the sentiment in the top corner and highlighted it with a Wink of Stella.

Pretty Petals

Whilst I've been off work this week I've got ahead with some of the cards I need over the next few weeks, including this card for Mother's Day. I trimmed the floral paper, layered it onto green card and attached it to the card front.  I attached the floral image to white card before die cutting  and embossing it.  I then die cut 'Mum' from the lower edge.  The image was layered onto a die cut and embossed green scalloped circle and attached to the centre of the card.  I die cut 'Mum' from green card and inlaid it into the topper.

Flourish Heart

I made this card for the Cuttlebug Mania 'Use Red as the Focus' challenge.   I'm also entering the Allsorts 'Use a Heart and/or Flowers', Die Cut Divas 'Use Red or Pink' and Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenges.  The card and paper are from my snippets drawer so I'm heading to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

I trimmed the browny/red paper, layered it onto red card and attached it to the card front.  I die cut the Flourish Heart from red card and set it aside. I die cut a Lacy Square from white card and die cut the Flourish Heart from the centre.  I then attached a snippet of white card to the rear.  I inlaid the red heart and then inlaid the red and white pieces to complete the heart.  To give some dimension I added two more snippets of white card to the rear before attaching it to the card front.

Love is Like a Butterfly

I made this card for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge 'P is for Paper Piercing and/or the colour Fern' and I decided to choose both options.  I'm also entering Cardz 4 Galz 'Love is in the Air', A Gem of a Challenge 'Add a Butterfly', International Art & Soul 'Love is in the Air' and Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.

I trimmed the paper to a square, layered it onto lilac card and attached it to the card front.  I die cut and embossed the sentiment topper, layered it onto a scalloped die cut and embossed circle before attaching it to the centre of the card.  I die cut two mini butterflies, pierced them down the centre and attached them to the topper.  To finish I outlined the sentiment with a Wink of Stella.

Super Striker

I trimmed the football paper, layered it onto black card and attached it to the card front.  The precoloured image was trimmed slightly and the corners were punched.  This was then layered onto black card before being attached to the centre of the card.  I die cut the number 9 from both black card and a football from another image,  I attached the black number to the lower corner with the football number offset on top.  To finish I highlighted the image with a Wink of Stella.

Reindeer

I stamped the reindeer, sentiment and star onto white card, this was trimmed and the corners punched. I layered it onto pink paper and attached to the card front.  I stamped the reindeer onto brown paper, the collar onto pink paper and the bell onto gold paper before paper piecing them onto the reindeer.  I coloured the sentiment with a pink pencil and added a Wink of Stella to the collar, bell, stars and swirls.

Bunnies in Love

Branwen Briar

This week Darnell's NBUS challenge has the optional theme of 'Use Bubble Wrap' and I chose to use my NBUS 'Branwen Briar' die.  My first challenge was then to find some bubble wrap and my second was to photograph the card without having an image of me in the metallic circle! I'm also entering A Gem of a Challenge 'Add a Butterfly', Die Cut Divas 'Use Red or Pink' and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

I inked the bubble wrap with the Orchid ink pad and stamped it onto white card.  I trimmed the square, layered it onto cerise metallic card and attached it to the card blank.  I die cut and embossed a cerise scalloped circle and attached it to the centre.  The Branwen Briar, mini butterfly and sentiment were die cut from white card and attached to the scalloped circle.

Snowman Couple

I layered pink heart paper onto red mirri and attached it to the card.  I resized the digi stamp and printed it onto white card.  I trimmed the image to a square and coloured it with Promarkers.  This was then layered onto red mirri and attached to the centre of the card.  I punched four regular and four mini hearts and attached them to the corners.  I coloured the snow people with a Wink of Stella and used Diamond Stickles on the snow.  To finish I added Glossy Accents to the heart.
