You Brighten my Day ...

As our Winter Wonderland followers will know Eileen, our DT coordinator, is in hospital at the moment and Helen has kindly taken over the coordinator role until Eileen returns.  The new challenge is 'Spring Fever' (Sunshine, Flowers, Romance), it will run for four weeks and doesn't have to be a Christmas creation.  We don't have a sponsor this month, but we will still choose a winner using Mr Random and I will send them a small prize (10 sheets of Lili of the Valley Christmas Mini Masterpiece die cut images).  We will, of course, still have our Top Three creations.

Card blank: 7" x 7" white silk
Image: Lili of the Valley 'English Charm' Art Pad, Lili of the Valley 'Sentiment'
Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Classic Scalloped Circles Large'
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Colouring: Faber-Castell coloured pencils
Card: Green pearl
Paper: Lili of the Valley 'Country Meadow' and 'Promises'

I layered lilac stripe paper onto green card and attached it to the card front.  A strip of yellow floral paper was layered onto green card and attached across the centre.  The image was pre-coloured, this was trimmed, layered onto green card and attached to the left side of the card with foam tape.  I cut around the printed sentiment and coloured the butterflies and flowers.  This was layered onto a scalloped die cut and embossed circle before being attached to the top corner of the card with Pinflair glue.  To finish, I highlighted the image and sentiment with a Wink of Stella.
