Happy Christmas

I made this Christmas card with a small Rudolph I found in my oddments drawer and, of course, some snippets.

To make this card I used:
     5.25" x 4.25" white matt card blank
Clearly Besotted 'Let's Prance' stamp and coordinating die
Woodware 'Delightful Dangles - Christmas Tree' sentiment stamp
My Favorite Things 'Inside & Out Stitched Rrectangle STAX Die-namics' dies
     Versafine Onyx Black ink
     Promarkers
Snippets of white matt card and lilac snowflake paper
     Glossy Accents

I made a frame with two rectangle dies and a snippet of white card.  I trimmed the snippet of lilac paper so it was a little smaller than the frame and attached it to the centre of the card blank.  Rudolph had been stamped onto a snippet of white card and cut with the coordinating die before being put into my oddments drawer, so I only had to colour him to use on this card.  I placed the card blank into my MISTI before laying the frame and Rudolph onto it so I could see where the position the sentiment stamp.  I removed the frame and Rudolph before stamping the sentiment in black ink.  The frame and Rudolph were then attached to the card with foam tape.  To finish I added Glossy Accents to Rudolph's nose.

Enjoy your Day

I've made a few quick cards today and am on a 'thrifty mission' to use up oddments and snippets!

To make this card I used:
     5.5" x 4.25" white matt card blank
Lili of the Valley Art Sheet 'A Warm Welcome'
My Favorite Things 'Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics' die
     Clearly Besotted 'Mini Calligraphy' stamp
     Versafine Vintage Sepia ink
     Snippet of dark brown card

I die cut the LOTV image with the largest rectangle die before using brown ink to stamp the sentiment along the upper edge.  I trimmed a snippet of dark brown card so it was slightly larger than the panel and die cut a rectangle from the centre.  The frame was attached to the card and the image inlaid into it.

July Rudolph Day

It's time seventh Rudolph Day of the year and another of my colour themed cards (all my RD cards this year are green and gold).

To make this card I used:
     7" x 5" white matt card blank
     Woodware 'Christmas Bubble Tree' stamp
     Versafine Olympia Green ink
Cosmic Shimmer Clear Detail embossing powder
     Hybrid Dual Metallic gold pen
     Wink of Stella
     Glossy Accents
Snippets of white matt card and green patterned paper

I trimmed a snippet of white matt card so it was slightly smaller than the card blank and placed it into my MISTI.  I stamped the tree and sentiment with green ink, stamping a couple of times to get a good depth of colour before embossing them with clear embossing powder.  The panel was then attached to the front of the card blank.  I stamped the tree trunk onto a snippet of green paper, fussy cut it and then attached it to the card and added some Wink of Stella to make it sparkle.  I used the metallic gold pen to colour the baubles on the tree and then used Glossy Accents to make them shine.

Spirelli Gift Tag

I hate waste and recycle as much as I can, as well as keeping snippets of card and paper that may come in useful 'one day'. I also like to use pre-loved items and charity shop finds.  This gift tag uses a Spirelli diamond template that was in a pack I picked up in a charity shop when we were away, as well as some blending filament I was gifted, a snippet of cream card and a recycled gift bag.

To make this tag I used:
Marianne Design Spirelli cream diamond shape
     Kreinik Metallic Blending filament
     Snippet of cream card

I secured the end of the blending filament at the back of the card and wound it around the arcs on the template, skipping 14 arcs each time.  When the card was complete I secured the end of the blending filament to the back of the card.  I attached another small piece of blending filament to the top of the diamond shape to tie it to the bag handle.  To finish, I cut a snippet of cream card so fit inside the arcs on the template and attached it to the rear of the gift tag - this both covered the back of the design and also allowed me to write my message.

I am entering the following challenges:
     Ally's Angels - Anything Goes
As You Like It Challenge - Favourite Non-card Project (I enjoy making gift tags, sometimes I coordinate them with a card I have made and other times, like this project, I coordinate them with the gift wrapping)

Genetian Cross Stitch

Whilst we've been away in Scotland I've stitched a few designs to make into cards on our return.  This card is made from another lovely Carolyn's Meadow kit from Serendipity Designs.

To make this card I used:
     5" x 5" white hammer card blank
Carolyn's Meadow 'Genetian' cross stitch kit
Lawn Fawn 'Outside In Stitched Square Stackables' die
     Snippet of white hammer card

After completing the stitching I mounted the design behind a stitched square aperture that had been die cut in the centre of the card blank.  A piece of the same card was attached to the inside to cover the back of the stitching.

Rustic Wreath

We're back from our travels and everything has been washed and put away ready for our next trip.  It's a horrid wet day today - perfect to spend some time crafting and make some Christmas cards!

To make this card I used:
     5" x 5" white matt card blank
     Uniko 'Rustic Wreath' stamps
Lawn Fawn 'Outside In Stitched Square Stackables' die
Versafine Olympia Green & Satin Red ink
Snippets of white matt card and red pearlescent card

I placed a snippet of white card into my MISTI and stamped the wreath and sentiment with green ink.  I placed the berries stamp onto the outside of the wreath and stamped a couple of times with red ink.  I then continued to stamp the berries around the edge of the wreath, alternating the stamp on the inside and outside of the wreath.  The panel was then cut with a stitched die, layered onto a snippet of red pearlescent card and attached to the card front.

I am entering the following challenges:
