August Rudolph Day

I love my new Christmas stamp and it's a great way of using oddments of card candi and nail heads, so I've made more cards for my first visit to Sarn's Rudolph Day challenge.

Woodware  Bubble Bloom Festive Tree stamp
Card candi
Nail heads
Stickles

I stamped the Christmas tree onto my card blank and decorated it with card candi, nail heads and stickles.   A great way of filling my Christmas card box!

Sparkle and Shine at Christmas time

I made this card using a new stamp which was part of my birthday present from my OH.   I'm entering the card into this week's Less is More sketch challenge and also into the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown 'Glitter and Bling' challenge.

Woodware Bubble Bloom Festive Tree stamp
Gold mirri card
Card Candi

Stickles

I stamped the image and sentiment onto white card, trimmed them to size and layered them onto gold mirri card. The image was decorated with card candi, nail heads and stickles.  I turned the sketch on its side to assemble the card, using foam pads to attach the image above the sentiment.

Decorated notebook

I made this notebook for a friend and as it was made with various items from my snippets drawer, I'm also in the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Upcycled dress and stamped panel (thanks Lori!)
Gold moondust and black mirri card
Floral paper
Spellbinders oval and scalloped oval dies
Cream paper ribbon
Black and yellow ribbon
Purple button

I attached floral paper to a piece of gold card then wrapped the paper ribbon and black ribbon around it before attaching it to the front of a notebook.  I resized the stamped panel, layered it onto a black scalloped oval and then attached it to the front of the notebook.   I wrapped yellow ribbon around the dress and added a purple button before attaching the image with foam pads.

You are Sew Special

I made this card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Aspire Sew Pretty papers and topper (magazine freebie)
Kraft card
Pink ribbon
Silver elastic (upcycled from a box of chocolates!)
Scissors charm

I cut three strips of co-ordinating paper and layered them onto kraft card, they were then attached to white card and layered onto kraft card.  Pink ribbon was wrapped around the panel.  I made small holes in the topper, threaded the charm onto the silver elastic and wrapped this around the pink ribbon before attaching the panel to the card front.

Congratulations!

I made this card for a wedding anniversary for a friend who loves bling.   I'm entering this card into this week's Less is More challenge which is 'Anything Goes'.  The peel-offs and gems are all from my 'oddments' tray so I'm also visiting the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Woodware heart peel-offs
Sentiment peel-off
Gems

One of the heart peel-offs was attached to the card front, the second was attached to a scrap of card and cut out.  Gems were attached to both hearts and the second heart was attached with foam tape.  To finish, I attached a peel-off sentiment.

I'm blogging again!

I haven't really been on holiday for a year!

For various reasons I've not had a lot of time over the past year and blogging was one of the things that I decided to stop for a while.   Things have hopefully calmed down now and I'm back to cardmaking and blogging.

More posts to follow soon!

On holiday!

I was hoping to make some more cards this week, but time has gone so quickly getting ready for our holiday this weekend.   I've got my Promarkers packed and also my Zentangle kit - just in case the weather's bad.

Back in two weeks!

I made this card for this week's Winter Wonderland challenge which is 'Christmas Presents' and also for the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge 'sequins and/or pearls'.  All the papers and embellishments are from my snippets drawer, so I'm also in Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground.

Gold sparkly ribbon

I layered blue papers to gold mirri card, covering the join with pink paper and a strip of gold sparkly ribbon, before attaching it to a dark blue card blank.   The image and sentiment were upcycled from last year's Christmas cards and attached to the card with foam tape.  To finish, I attached gold pearls to the top and bottom of the card.

Christmas Wishes

I can't believe it's been two weeks since I last posted to my blog.   My first card is for this week's 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge 'Christmas Ornaments' and I made it by following this week sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

Woodware 'Bubble Wreath' stamp
Unknown sentiment stamp (had been a magazine freebie)
Silver mirri card
Blue and red papers
Versafine Majestic Blue ink
Clear embossing powder
Dark blue ribbon
Silver Stickles
Gems

I attached blue paper to silver mirri and covered the join with a strip of red paper - this was then attached to the card front.   The Christmas ornaments and sentiment were stamped with Versafine and embossed with clear embossing powder.   I glued strips of ribbon from the top of each ornament and fastened them to the back of the card, before layering it to a piece of silver mirri and attaching it to the card front.  The sentiment was layered onto silver mirri and attached to the card front with foam tape.  I used assorted gems and silver Stickles to decorate the ornaments.  To finish, I made small bows and attached them to the to of the ornaments.
