I've recently bought a Textile Heritage bookmark kit from a charity shop - another bargain for £2.00. As I didn't want to stitch a bookmark I've used the lovely poppy design to make these two notecards.
To make this card I used:
4" x 4" white hammer card blanks
Textile Heritage 'Poppy Meadow' cross stitch kit
Lawn Fawn 'Outside In Stitched Square Stackables' die
Snippets of white hammer card
4" x 4" white hammer card blanks

Lawn Fawn 'Outside In Stitched Square Stackables' die
Snippets of white hammer card
I stitched the poppies, adding an extra couple of stitches to the horizontal frame to ensure the blue frame was a square and not a rectangle in the bookmark kit. I die cut a stitched square from the centre of the card blank, trimmed the aida around the design and attached it to the rear of the aperture. I trimmed a snippet of white hammer card to the same size as the card blank and attached it inside to cover the rear of the stitching.
I am entering the following challenges:
As You Like It Challenge - Soft or Bold Colours (my favourite is bold colours as I feel these make more of an impact for CAS cards)
Love to Craft - Anything Goes
Moving Along With The Times - Flowers
