Flourish Heart

I made this card for the Cuttlebug Mania 'Use Red as the Focus' challenge.   I'm also entering the Allsorts 'Use a Heart and/or Flowers', Die Cut Divas 'Use Red or Pink' and Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenges.  The card and paper are from my snippets drawer so I'm heading to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.


Card blank: 6" x 6" white linen
Dies: Apple Blossom 'Flourish Heart' (magazine freebie), Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Lacy Squares'
Snippets: Red and white linen card; Lili of the Valley 'Pressed in Time' paper

 I trimmed the browny/red paper, layered it onto red card and attached it to the card front.  I die cut the Flourish Heart from red card and set it aside. I die cut a Lacy Square from white card and die cut the Flourish Heart from the centre.  I then attached a snippet of white card to the rear.  I inlaid the red heart and then inlaid the red and white pieces to complete the heart.  To give some dimension I added two more snippets of white card to the rear before attaching it to the card front.

    This is a gorgeous card Kath and I know that this is quite time consuming to do but you have made a wonderful job of it, and I love the matting and layering which shows it off splendidly. x
