Congrats

I made this card for the Allsorts 700th Challenge.

I stamped the red hearts and congrats onto snippets of white card and embossed them with clear embossing powder before cutting them with the coordinating dies.  I placed the hearts and sentiment onto the card blank and marked where I wanted to emboss the lines.  I then used my Hougie board to emboss two lines across the card.  I attached the hearts and sentiment to the card using small foam pads to lift them away from the card.

To make this card I used:
     DL white matt card blank
Clearly Besotted 'With All Your Heart' and 'Modern Calligraphy' stamps and coordinating dies.
     Versafine Satin Red ink
Cosmic Shimmer Clear Detail embossing powder

October Rudolph Day Challenge

It's time for another Rudolph Day card using a magazine cover gift - which is my RD theme this year.  This card uses a Cardmaking Magic 'Perfect Poinsettia' die that was a cover gift with Die Cutting Essentials magazine.

I trimmed a piece of card so it was slightly smaller than the card blank.  I then die cut the poinsettia outline and 'Christmas' from the panel (keeping the 'Christmas' sentiment to one side as I needed the small pieces to inlay).  I attached a snippet of gold sparkle card behind the panel before attaching it to the front of the card blank.  I die cut the intricate poinsettia and 'Christmas' from red sparkle card and inlaid these into the front of the card.  To finish I inlaid the small pieces of white card into the 'Christmas' sentiment.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white hammer card blank
Practical Publishing Cardmaking Magic 'Perfect Poinsettia' dies
Snippets of white hammer card, red sparkle card and gold glitter paper

Penguin

This is the final card I made with the stitching from our last campervan trip.  This card uses a Mouseloft 'Penguin' cross stitch kit I found in a charity shop.  After completing the stitching I mounted the fabric behind a frame I made from cream hammer using stitched square and circle dies.  The framed stitching was then attached to a cream hammer card blank.

Black, White and One Colour

I was over the moon to be the winner of the CAS on Friday Christmas Challenge and was invited to be Guest Designer on their 'Black, White and One Colour' challenge.  For my card I've chosen purple as my 'One Colour'.

I trimmed a piece of white card so it was slightly smaller than the card blank.  I used post-it notes to mask a strip along the bottom of the card and then used purple ink to stencil one row of stacked lines across the bottom of the panel.  I placed the card into my MISTI before stamping the reindeer and sentiment - stamping a couple of times to get a good depth of colour.  To finish I attached the panel to the front of the card.

To make this card I used:
     7" x 5" white matt card blank
Hot off the Press 'Reindeer' and Clearly Besotted 'Cheerful Christmas' stamps
     Funky Fossil 'Stacked Lines' stencil
Versafine Onyx Black and Imperial Purple inks
     White card

As we're away in our campervan I've scheduled this post as I'm not sure if I'll have a wifi signal to be able to enter any challenges.

Red Campion

I've not done much crafting since returning from our last campervan 'adventure', but I have managed to find time to make some of my cross stitch pieces into cards.  This Red Campion is from Carolyn's Garden by Serendipity Designs.  After stitching the flowers I mounted the fabric behind a frame made from red textured card and cut with two stitched square dies.

Joy, Hope, Peace, Believe, Christmas

I send several Christmas cards to male friends each year so have made a few of these CAS cards.

I die cut the Christmas tree from a snippet of dark blue pearlescent card and attached it to the centre of the card blank.  I used a gold Tombow brush pen to colour the star (the pen has a water-based die which doesn't bleed through the card) and then added Diamond Stickles to give a little bit of sparkle to the star.

To make this card I used:
     5" x 5" white matt card blank
Creative Expressions 'Festive Collection - Christmas Tree Greetings' die
     Tombow ABT gold brush pen
     Diamond Stickles
Snippet of dark blue pearlescent card

Happy Christmas

I've finished tidying up after our latest campervan 'adventure' and as we don't head off again until next week I'm catching up with some crafting - and using my growing pile of snippets and old stuff!  This card uses an old Hunkydory image that was part of an A4 sheet - I'd used the plain side of the card and had kept this Santa image.

I trimmed the image down the left side to remove the last of the plain side of the card and then trimmed the top.  I layered it onto a snippet of gold mirri and attached it to the centre of the card front.  I die cut 'Happy Christmas' from gold mirri and attached it to the top.  Another quick and simple Christmas card.

To make this card I used:
     7" x 5" white matt card blank
Hunkydory Santa image from an A4 sheet
Creative Expressions 'Festive Collection - Contemporary Happy Christmas' die
     Snippets of gold mirri

Hello

I made this card to send to Jo for the September Card Chain Challenge.  I used the Colour Option (Ginger, Buttercup & Sage) and the Theme Option (Friendship).

I die cut four green triangles from snippets of green textured card and attached them to the corners of the card.  I die cut the triangles from lots of snippets of yellow textured card and inlaid them into the green triangles.  I cut a piece of brown cad so it was slightly smaller than the inner square and attached it to the card.  I die cut 'hello' from both green and yellow card, offsetting the yellow on top of the green before attaching it to the centre of the card.  I die cut three stars from green card and punched three stars from yellow card.  I attached the yellow stars to the centre of the green die cut stars and attached them to the card.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white matt card blank
Practical Publishing 'Terrific Triangles', Altenew 'Simply Hello' and Xcut 'Nesting Star' dies
     Unbranded star punch
Snippets of brown, yellow and green textured card
