This cross stitch heart was my second practical assessment for my Cross Stitch Diploma. The requirement was to stitch a design using confetti stitch - these are single cross stitches. The stitches are started with a knotless loop and finished by securing the thread under the stitch at the back of the fabric. This is quite a long process when there are a lot of confetti stitches, but it does prevent threads showing through the fabric.
I do like this pretty rainbow heart which is a design from Fandom Cross Stitchery.

This is very pretty Kath and love the rainbow of colours. I must say the idea of doing every stitch separately would be too long winded for me, not enough patience I guess..lol, but I can see that it would be neater. I have done a lot of cross stitch though not recently but have never heard of confetti stitch, so I've learnt something new today. x
ReplyDeleteHi Kath, That is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good start to the week. Sue
