I embossed the swirl frame, trimmed the edges, layered it onto dark red pearlescent card and attached it to the card. I die cut the sentiment, 40 and butterflies from red card. The sentiment was attached to the centre of the card and the number in the lower corner. I attached the butterflies by the centre so I could shape the wings.
To make this card I used:
7" x 5" white pearlescent card blank
Crafts-Too 'Happy Birthday', Memory Box 'Classic Numbers' and Tattered Lace 'Mini Butterfly' dies
Xcut 'Swirls' embossing folder
Red and white pearlescent card
I am entering the following challenges:
Allsorts - Take Flight (I have used butterflies)
Butterfly Challenge - Spin the Butterfly Wheel with R (I have used Raspberry and, of course, butterflies)
Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies - January Challenge
Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge - Wings

That is one of my favourite sentiments to use but boy is it difficult to die cut. I never manage to get nice clean edges from it. Love the card you have created. Very pretty. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteBack again as just realised you have entered the butterfly challenge using raspberry with your butterfly. Thankyou for coming and spinning the butterfly wheel with me this week. Hugs Mrs A.

Love this monochrome design. I rarely use pearlescent card now but I'd forgotten how great it looks when embossed. Thanks so much for playing along at HLS CAS Challenge, Anita x
