Upcycled Christmas Decoration

I made this card for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown 'Recyling' challenge.  I'm also entering the ABC Christmas Challenge 'D for Decorations', Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Use Some Gold' and the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.

As well as my 'normal' snippets drawer where I keep offcuts of  'normal' card and paper, I also have a box of 'recycled' snippets which includes pieces I've cut from the front of greetings cards, wrapping paper, gift tags, cardboard packaging and anything else I think 'oh, that might come in useful one day'.  This card was made from snippets out of the 'recycled' box so I'm heading into the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop

6" x 4" white matt card blank
Memory Box 'Lydia Ornament', Memory Box 'Traditional Ornament', Memory Box 'Crisp Bows' & Creative Expressions 'Contemporary Happy Christmas' dies
Floral patterned card (the front of a birthday card), gold holographic card (Christmas gift tag) recycled snippets

I die the Traditional Ornament from gold card and the Lydia Ornament from the floral card.  I layered these and then attached them to the left of the card.  I die cut the bow from gold card and snipped it to the right length before attaching it above the ornament.  I die cut the sentiment from both gold card and floral card.  I layered the floral sentiment onto the gold die cut to create a shadow effect and attached them to the lower corner of the card.

  3. What a great upcycled creation Kath, and I love the idea of using the gold card and the floral together on the bauble, and the sentiment with the double layer one gold, one floral. Such a great idea and it looks so pretty. x
