Purple and Gold Christmas

I made this card for the Less is More 'Purple and Gold' challenge.  I am also entering the Alphabet Challenge 'R for Recipe' (I have used Sentiment, Stamp & Embossing), and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes'.  The card and gold foil are from my snippets drawer so I'm off to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Stamp: Woodware 'Christmas Bubble Tree'
Ink: Versamarkm Versafine Toffee
Embossing: WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter
Colouring: Purple Flexmarker
Other: Glossy Accents, Sakura Gelly Roll 'Clear Star' pen
Snippets: Gold foil paper, white silk card

I stamped and embossed the tree and sentiment onto white card before trimming it so it was slightly smaller than the card blank.  I coloured the bubbles with a purple Flexmarker, then highlighted them with the Gelly Roll pen to give a little sparkle before adding Glossy Accents.  I stamped the tree trunk with toffee ink onto gold foil paper, fussy cut it and attached it to the tree trunk.  To finish  I added two smaller pieces of card behind the image before attaching it so it stood away from the card blank.

  4. Wow Kath, as soon as I spotted this in Mr Linky I knew it was perfect for LIM! Absolutely fabulous use of that stamp, very classy as Liz says - it's one I have and forget to use. The sentiment, which I know comes with the set, is one of my favourites as well - that does get used a lot!

Great to see you in the Playground again this week! You should have a badge for good attendance :)

    Hugs

  10. This is a very pretty Woodware tree Kath and a great idea to put a couple of offcuts of card on the back to stick it down with and to give it dimension. A beautiful CAS card. x
