Wire and White Birthday

I made this card for the Butterfly Challenge 'W is for Wire and White on White'.  I'm also entering A Gem of a Challenge 'Female Birthday' and Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes' challenge.  The card is all from my snippets drawer so I'm also heading to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.


Card blank: 6" x 4" white pearl
Die: Crafts-Too 'Happy Birthday'
Embosisng: Xcut 'Swirls'
Other: Craft for Occasions white wired butterfly
Snippets: White pearl and silver mirri card

 I embossed the white pearl card, trimmed it slightly before laying it onto silver mirri and attaching it to the card front.  I die-cut the sentiment from both white pearl and silver mirri card, layering the white sentiment onto the silver one to create a shadow.  This was then attached to the centre of the embossed panel.  To finish I attached the butterfly to the top corner of the card.

    Wow. Never thought of those wire Betty butterflies. Grand idea. I like the oval embossing folder and the large sentiment die fits perfectly. I lovely CAS style. Thank you for fluttering by my challenge where your card will be entered twice. Hugs Mrs A.

    This is extremely pretty Kath and love the white die cut sentiment with the silver for a shadow on top of that beautiful embossed background and what a sweet butterfly as the finishing touch. x
