It's time for Rudolph Day again! I have used a LOTV pre-coloured image for this super quick card and I am also entering Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes', Crafting with Dragonflies 'Anything Goes', Christmas Card Challenges 'Anything Goes' and Sparkles Monthly Challenge 'Christmas in July'. I'm also heading over to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.
Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Festive Foliage' Art Pad
Punch: Woodware square corner
Other: Wink of Stella
Snippets; Lili of the Valley 'Classic Christmas' paper, white silk card
I trimmed a snippet of holly paper and attached it to the card front. The pre-coloured topper was trimmed and the corners punched. As I wanted some dimension without the depth of foam tape, I attached snippets of white card to the rear of the image before attaching it to the centre of the card blank. To finish I highlighted the ornaments and foliage with a Wink of Stella.

You just can't beat an LOTV pad. Image. I'm still just stroking mine end putting them back in the drawer!! You'd card looks lovely. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very pretty image Kath and the luscious dark green holly paper gives it a really elegant look, and I love the punched corners which add just the right amount of interest without being overly fussy. What a great idea to add some pieces of card behind the image to give it just a bit of height, makes it easier for postage too. I am here with my DT hat on today, so thank you for joining us for the July Rudolph Days Challenge. x

ReplyDeleteLove this card Kath! Reading the comments, it seems a lot of us are really trying to spin our LOTV papers and pads out. Did you know they're now doing digital images, not much cheaper then their rubber stamps to be honest but I guess the fact they can be resized will appeal to folk. I only tinker now and then with digis though so hope they don't give up on the 'real thing'!
