I made this card for the current 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown 'Shades of Orange' challenge. I am also entering it into the ABC Christmas Challenge 'A is for Anything Goes' challenge, Becky's Place January Challenge and the snippets challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.
Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Stamp: Woodware 'Christmas Bubble Tree'
Embossing: Stamps Away clear embossing powder
Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia
Colouring: Bruynzeel coloured pencils
Other: Glossy Accents
Snippets: Orange mirri and white card, orange paper
I stamped and embossed the Christmas tree and sentiment onto white card. This was trimmed, layered onto orange mirri card and attached to the card front. I paper pieced the tree trunk using a snippet of orange paper. The baubles were coloured with various shades of orange coloured pencils and finished with Glossy Accents.

Oh, I love this one too, I have always fancied doing a CC in orange and this image looks stunning in orange, I have this stamp set but haven't used it for ages, don't worry I won't use it, if I get the chance to enter this challenge.

ReplyDeleteGreat use of the challenge colours Kath I used to try and enter the 52CCT challenge every week and when I saw the challenge on Saturday decided it wasn't for me. Your card is stunning and the CAS style so effective.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite Christmas trees and it looks wonderful in shades of orange. Great clean and simple layout too. Thanks so much for playing along with our colour challenge at 52CCT this week! Deborah, DT.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the look of this card xxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous Kath - one of my favourite stamp sets and (like Kath) not been used here for ages. Clever idea to colour and then use Glossy Accents. I also use the sentiment quite a bit for other Christmas cards - I like the long flowing script :)
