Last year one of my resolutions was to make at least ten Christmas cards each month - I managed to do that every month except July (although overall I achieved my target) and it saved a last minute panic to finish my cards the week before Christmas. I'm going to do the same this year and will keep a record on my sidebar. I also want to make my card inserts when I make the cards and not when I want to send them as that took a lot of time with my Christmas cards and was a bit of a chore. 2016 is going to be a thrifty crafting year, so expect to see lots of snippets, freebies and preloved items.
I also thought I would start the New Year with some Blog Candy.
If you would like a chance to win, this is what you must do:
1. Be or become a follower of my blog with Google Friend Connect
2. Add the photo to your sidebar and link back to my blog
2. Leave a comment below before 12:00 GMT on 30 January
I will choose a winner at random from all comments that have been left and will publish the name of the lucky winner on 1 February..
Good luck and have a Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and good on you for keeping last year's resolution and getting so many christmas cards made through the year.
ReplyDeleteGorgous candy and thanks for the chance to win. Have added photo to my sidebar with a link back. Enjoy the rest of the holiday xx
Well done on managing to keep your resolution. I always intend to do the inserts when I make cards but never do, having to make inserts for 100 cards at the beginning of December was not fun! I'm not commenting to win candy by the way so don't put me in the draw . Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Kath and I hope you succeed in your NY resolution, I never do but like you I am determined to make more Christmas cards each month and while I ended up ok I was in a mad panic that I hadn't.

Thanks for the chance to win this lovely blog candy.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with making all your Christmas cards without a last minute panic! I'm planning to do the same too. xx
So many of us are on the same page this January! I wonder if we feel a sense of turmoil in the world which we seem to have no control over, so we want to have peace and order in our little craft havens? Good job staying on top of your 2015 Christmas cards, Kath! (I failed miserably!) I'm sure you will keep it up. Please don't include me in your draw seeing as how I'm buried in excess right now ... maybe I can join in your next one! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win a lush prize. I have about 20 new year resolutions. The first is a diet, which I'm following now (day three) not enjoying but determined to do. Good luck with your new year resolutions. Think we should all ask the new year fairy for a gift though if we've been good all year round. What do you think of this idea? x
ReplyDeleteHi Kath! I love your idea of making 10 Christmas cards each month! I may have to adopt that one myself! Lol
ReplyDeleteI did make lots of Christmas cards this year but I was invited to do a couple of table sales & sold more than I thought so still had to rush to make lots in the end! Thanks for offering this sweet little candy!
Off to share on my side bar now!

WOW that's a lot of Christmas cards Kath and a perfect way to be organised with them - I may need to take am leaf out of your book and give it a go myself. I too need to do the inserts for my cards as I make them - always a faff when I need a card in a hurry!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win some scummy candy - will pop a picture on my sidebar.

Hello, Kath! I would like to wish you a Happy New Year! Thank you for your generous candy! It looks delicious, and I am excited to win! I just added it to my sidebar for you! I am already a follower on GFC! I enjoyed reading your goals for the year. I think these are wonderful! I like to make 2 Christmas cards a month and then more as Christmas gets closer. I missed one month last year too but overall I had plenty of cards when November/December rolled around. I really like your idea of making the card inserts as you make each card - it took a long time to get these done at Christmas time so I think I will do more of that too - great plan! I like the thrifty crafting too - I do this as well - although I like to spend all of the birthday and Christmas money I receive on crafty items! Wishing you success with your resolutions - I think they are definitely doable!
ReplyDeleteI really like your card idea - it is good to have them ready pre-Christmas. I will pop your candy on my sidebar, thanks for the chance to win
ReplyDeletePhew, managed to add your candy to my sidebar without messing up! Like you, I made a set number of cards per month last year - a dozen - and it was such a life saver when I was pole axed from the beginning of November. Plus, it's good fun to play all year round, but then I never did grow up anyhow! I think your candy is a really lovely selection so would love to be in the draw.
