Christmas Greetings

I made this card for the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown sketch challenge and as the card and papers are from my snippets drawer I'm also popping into the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 7" x 5" white silk
Stamps: Docrafts Me to You 'Santa' and Woodware 'Festive Verse'
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Ovals Small and Classic Scalloped Ovals Small
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Olympia Green
Colouring: Promarkers
Snippets: Red mirri card, white silk card and green holly paper

I layered a strip of green holly paper onto red mirri card and attached it to the card front.  The image was stamped onto white card, die-cut and embossed.   This was coloured with Promarkers and I used fun flock on the edges of the coat and hat.  The image was attached to a scalloped die-cut of red mirri card before being attached to the card front with foam tape.  I fussy cut holly leaves and attached them to the bottom of the image.   To finish, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card.

  6. Wow Kath, this is adorable. Such a beautiful image and the flocking is wonderful as a finishing touch. Please don't tell me you truly left stamping your sentiment right until the very end? Even with a stamp positioner - with my wobbly hands I've learned the hard way :(

    Hugs
