The Hedgerow

I'm still trying to use up my snippets and made this card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  As everything is from my snippets drawer I'm also in Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground.

Woodware The Hedgerow stamp
Versafine Olympia Green ink
Clear embossing powder
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder
Woodware Corner Rounder punch
Brown and amber mirri card
Amber patterned paper

I stamped and embossed the image, trimmed it and rounded the top corners.  The image and a strip of amber paper were layered onto brown mirri.  I embossed a strip of amber mirri card with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.   The elements were attached to the card following the layout of the sketch.

Christmas Robin

This week's Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is 'Red and green must be seen' and I've used an upcycled image for this card.   I'm also going to enter it into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra where 'Anything goes as long at it's Christmas.

Upcycled Christmas cards
Gold mirri card
Cream/gold snowflake paper

I layered cream/gold snowflake paper onto gold mirri card and attached it to a card blank.  I cut around the robin image and attached it to the card front using foam tape.  The sentiment was cut from another card and also attached with foam tape.

Girlie Christmas Wreath

The current ABC Christmas Challenge is 'G for Girl or Guy' - I've chosen to make a girlie Christmas Wreath using the same paper and colours as last year's Girlie Christmas Tree.  I'm also entering this card into the Winter Wonderland challenge 'Red and Green must not be seen'.

Woodware Bubble Wreath stamp
Pink and purple papers
Versafine Imperial Purple ink
Clear embossing powder
Promarkers
Sakura Metallic Gelly Roll pen
Glossy Accents
Stickles
Pearls and Gems
Ribbon

I layered pink paper onto purple paper and attached it a white card blank.  I stamped the wreath onto white card, embossed the image, layered it onto purple paper and then attached it to the card.  I coloured some of the bubbles with Promarkers and added glossy accents, the remaining bubbles were decorated with a metallic pen, pearls and gems.  To finish, I added a purple bow to the top of the wreath.

Merry Christmas Bella

One of the many cards in my upcyling Christmas card box is the one I made for my sister last year.  I peeled the image from the card and used it to make this card for the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown sketch challenge.  I'm also entering it into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Use the Word Christmas' and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra 'Anything goes as long as it's Christmas'.

Upcycled Christmas card
Woodware Crafty Edger Ribbon Cassette
Red mirri card and green spot card
Gems

I used the ribbon cassette on a piece of red mirri and trimmed it to size.  This was layered with green spot card and attached to the card front.  Following the sketch, I attached the image using foam tape.   To finish, I attached three red gems.

Birthday Bouquet

I made this card for this week's Seize the Birthday challenge, which is a 'sketch for a feminine birthday'.  As all the papers and card are from my snippets drawer, I'm also in Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground.

Upcycled image from birthday card
Papers and card from snippets drawer
Nestabilities Classic Ovals Large and Lacey Ovals dies
Woodware Crafty Edger Ribbon Cassette
Butterfly charm

I attached green spot paper to purple card and attached it to a card blank.  I used the Ribbon Cassette with my Crafty Edger on a piece of purple card and then layered lilac patterned paper across the centre.  I die cut the image and then attached it to an oval of purple card which had been cut with the lacey ovals die.  Following the sketch, I attached purple striped paper to the card, then the scalloped strip.  The image was attached with foam tape.  To finish, I added a small butterfly charm.

O Christmas Tree

My final card for this evening is for this month's Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge 'O Christmas Tree'.   The original card was all black, but I chose to add a bit more colour.

Upcycled Christmas card
Red mirri card

I trimmed the image, layered it onto red mirri card and attached it to the front of a gold card blank.  The image was already glittered, although it doesn't show too well in the photographs.

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas

My second card is for this week's Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge which is 'Based on a Christmas Carol or Song'.  I'm also entering the card into Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra, where 'anything goes as long as it's Christmas'.

Upcycled Christmas card
Gold mirri card
Woodware Inverted Corner Rounder Punch
Gems

I trimmed the card and used the punch on the corners before layering it onto gold mirri and attaching it to a cream card blank.  I added gems to the corners and on each end of the middle banner.  To finish, I added a star gem to the top of the tree.

Twinkle, Twinkle Christmas Star

We visited our families over Easter and my mother and sister gave me a bag with all their Christmas and Birthday cards from last year - 'just in case I can make anything with them'.  There's going to be a lot of upcycling over the next few months - especially with the Christmas cards.  I made the first card for this week's Winter Wonderland challenge which is 'Twinkle, Twinkle Christmas Star'.

Upcycled Christmas Card
Gold mirri card
Crafts Too 'Twinkle' embossing folder
Promarker
Ribbon

I trimmed around the angel image and layered it onto a piece of gold mirri card.  I used the 'Twinkle' embossing folder to emboss one side of a purple card blank and then attached the image to the centre using foam tape.   To finish, I used a purple Promarker to colour a scrap of white ribbon and made a bow to attach to the card front.
