I made this card to enter the Woodware April Sketch Challenge and am also going to submit it for the second card for my Unit Three assessment.
I attached Hot of the Press Icy Rainbow papers (a magazine freebie) to a white Centura Pearl square card blank - yellow at the top and spotty paper at the bottom of the card. The join was covered with a strip of lilac Moondust card which had lilac spot ribbon tied around it. To follow the sketch I stamped the the top image onto white Centura Pearl card - this is from the Woodware Floral Doodles stamp set. The image was embossed and coloured with Promarkers. I used the Woodware Squared Corner cutter punch and then attached the image to lilac Moondust card. The lower image is stamped with Woodware Salutations 'Birthday Wishes' stamp and leaves from the Floral Doodles stamp set. This was embossed and finished in the same way as the floral topper. Both were attached to the front of the card with double sided tape. Two small lilac pearls were attached to the top right and two to the bottom left of the top half of the card. The card was finished with an insert of white pearlescent paper.
I would welcome feedback on this card, or suggestions for improvement, as I am going to submit it for my Unit Three assessment.

Lovely Kath, like the way you have used spotted paper at the bottom of the card and tied it in with the ribbon and pearls, am sure you will pass with this.

Kath,
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card. I love lilac/purples and that combined with the spotted paper really works well. Love the technique of attaching ribbon to the card before adding to the finished piece of work. Well done - love it xx Vicki xx
