My First Granny Square

I've never been able to crochet, despite several attempts after reading books and watching videos.  So last week I attended a 'Learn to Crochet' course.  It was only a two hour course so just covered the basics - a chain and treble stitch to make a granny square.  This is my first attempt!

We were also shown how to understand patterns and charts so I'm hoping to be able to build upon the skills I learned last week!

Great start on your crocheting journey, Kath. I'm on my second crochet project - a large granny square which will become a lap blanket. Just the border to do now. I'm determined to finish it before the warm weather comes! LOL! xx
